| BCI'S CONSULTANTSBCI's consultants are experienced and skilled in a variety of employee benefits specialties. Alan Lemley, CLU, President and Consultant. Prior to founding BCI in 1982, Mr. Lemley worked in the group insurance department of Prudential Insurance Company, as the Benefits Manager of the self-funded and self-administered benefit program of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and as an employee benefit consultant for Powers, Carpenter and Hall, Inc. (now Buck Consultants). He manages BCI's consulting practice and serves as consultant to corporate, multiemployer and governmental welfare benefit plans. His special areas of interest and expertise include plan design concepts, health care cost containment, managed care, pharmacy benefits, self-insurance and regulatory compliance. Sharron Gass, Vice President and Consultant. Prior to joining BCI in 1982, Ms. Gass worked in the group claim departments of John Hancock, Lincoln National and Mutual/United of Omaha Insurance Companies, most recently as claims supervisor and auditor. She manages BCI's claim department and assists BCI's clients who self-administer their claims. She also advises clients on claim problems, performs internal and external claim audits, negotiates provider discounts and advises clients on plan design and administrative matters. Sandra Wilson, CEBS, Consultant. Prior to joining BCI in 1988, Ms. Wilson worked in group insurance sales and management for Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. Her special areas of interest and expertise include competitive bidding and negotiation of group insurance and excess risk insurance, analysis of claims experience, valuation of plan changes, financial projections, projection of required funding levels and development of COBRA and self-pay rates. Dawn Kramer, JD, Consultant. Ms. Kramer joined BCI in 1996. She advises BCI's clients on legal and regulatory issues and requirements affecting their welfare benefit plans, drafts plan documents and manages BCI's COBRA and FMLA administrative services. Kathy Jaegers, Consultant and Administrative Manager. Ms. Jaegers joined BCI in 1998. She serves as administrative manager of plans of clients who outsource full plan administration to BCI, provides data analysis services, manages excess risk insurance claims, assists BCI's clients with regulatory compliance and manages BCI's information technology systems. |
